    Policy Research Coordinator, Equate Scotland

    Informing Scholarship - Equate Scotland is looking for a part-time Policy and Research Coordinator to join their team for a set amount of time. The person who gets the job will be expected to help the organization keep track of policies and do research to promote gender equality in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) sector and academia.


    As the Policy & Research Coordinator, the right person will start and build good relationships with industry and sector partners, map Equate Scotland's goals to the policy agendas of the Scottish and UK governments, and represent the organization in different places. Also, the coordinator will work closely with the training team to apply current policy knowledge and give advice on key STEM sector trends. This will make sure that Equate Scotland's training and services are based on best practices.


    The best person for this job will have an HNC or something similar, relevant and transferable work experience, as well as a policy and research background. They should be able to evaluate, analyze, and share information and data with different groups of people to help Equate Scotland learn more about issues that affect gender equality and share key learnings. The candidate should also know how to use quantitative and qualitative research methods in the real world.

    The job is part-time (29 hours a week), has a set end date of September 30, 2023, and pays between £27,929 and £33,314 per year pro rata (Grade 4). Applications are due by Monday, March 6, and interviews are likely to be held via video call on Thursday, March 23, or Friday, March 24.
